I chose — or rather, my family chose — Christian education for the small class sizes, the intentionality of the teachers, and a Christian foundation that enhanced what I was already learning at home.

For thirteen years, I had the opportunity to grow my faith in every class I entered, develop lifelong friendships, and experience a comprehensive education that challenged and grew me in the best ways.

I knew about ACSTO and its contribution to my tuition from a very young age. Without the tax credit program, my family would not have been able to afford Christian education.

My encouragement for parents who aren’t sure comes from Matthew 6:25-30: “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on… Are you not of more value than they?… But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?”

Five years ago, I joined the ACSTO staff, and now I have the opportunity every day to help families afford the same education I was so blessed to receive.
